@dafantasyfather

Happy New Year loyal readers! I’m currently at a New Years Eve party and having an absolute blast. Sarcasm.

This article marks our last one for the season. I do not play DFS during the playoffs as I’d rather sit back and just enjoy the games. I also think the opportunity to make money just isn’t there in the postseason. As always if you have questions, hit us up on Twitter!

Week 17 is upon us and if you’ve missed the playoffs in your league the good news is you can play some daily games and try to recoup some of those lost entry fees!

Pick your team and keep it under $50,000 and enter it into weekly contests to earn real money! I will be writing this column weekly with my suggestions for DraftKings lineups and cash game strategies. I will cover three options at each position who I think will break out and not have a high owner percentage which means you have a better chance at winning!

Quarterback:

Eli Manning Vs. Phi. $5,600

Its pretty clear that without Odell Beckham Jr. the Giants are an absolute mess on offense. The good thing this week is he is back and likely to be out to erase the memories from week 15. Pair that with the Eagles defense and a transition with the head coach and Eli is primed for a big day. This matchup has shootout written all over it. A Manning, OBJ, Tye and Jennings stacks looks ripe to pay off this week.

Ryan Fitzpatrick @Buff. $5,400

Revenge game! I love that narrative and I think this one pays off. Fitzpatrick has been a rock solid DFS QB all season and his price has never really changed. We know he can play in Buffalo and we also know the Bills have packed it in for the season. Rex Ryan’s defense has been a massive letdown this year and both top corners are now out for the season. Tee up the Beard for 300 yards and three TDS this week.

Brian Hoyer Vs. Jax $5,100

I had Hoyer here last week and he didn’t play, sorry about that! Well he has now been cleared and will suit up in a potentially division clinching game against one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. The Saints lit up the Jags like a Christmas tree last week and both Hopkins and Washington should have big games in this one.

Running Back:

Tim Hightower @Atl. $5,500

Out of the league for three years and now winning leagues for people. What a story! Hightower should benefit from high volume and a great matchup this week versus the Falcons. Both teams have nothing to play for except pride. Hightower is playing for a contract and I think he rushes for 100 yards and at least one score this week to cap off his great late season run.

Rashad Jennings Vs. Phi. $3,700

Quite the fantasy zombie this season, Jennings has risen from the dead the past two weeks to put up over 100 yards from scrimmage in both games. It’s no coincidence that this has happened now that they have finally given him all the backfield work. Tom Coughlin has been terrible at managing that backfield all season but a glimmer of hope finally has shone through. Que up Jennings for another 100 yard plus day and a score.

Jonas Gray @Hou. $3,000

Every year there is a player who gets a late season look that ends up having a nice game and I think Gray is the guy this year. The Jags have come out and said they want him to get alot of work and see what they have. Gray has been on three different teams this season and this is a great spot for him to show what he can do. At the minimum price, I’m willing to take a look and you should too.

Wide Receiver:

Martavis Bryant @Cle. $5,300

The Alien couldn’t even invade three points in DFS last week and was a massive disappointment in a great matchup. The Steelers need to win this game and I think the offense starts to click again against the Browns. It may be too little, too late for their playoff hopes but it will line our pockets with New Years cash! A Steelers stack could be massive this week. Big Ben, Brown, Bryant and Williams alllll day.

Jordan Matthews @NYG. $4,700

The long of garbage time lately Matthews looks to close out his disappointing 2015 with a big game in a great matchup. Matthews is one of the more intriguing players for me next year. The talent is there and his fit in the offense is nice in the slot role. As I said earlier I look for the points to flow in this one and Matthews has the ability to put up big numbers.

Brice Butler Vs. Was. $3,000

I’m going to be honest here, I don’t know much about Brice Butler. I do however know that Dez is done for the year and the Redskins have nothing to play for. He showed some nice rapport with Kellen Moore last week and flashed some nice skills. Much like Gray, Butler is a bit of a hail Mary pick this week. The price and the matchup are right so why not give it a shot?

Tight End:

Zach Miller Vs. Det. $4,600

Miller has been quite the surprise this year after taking over for the  lack unicorn in week 10. Alshon was put on the I.R. this week so that should mean loads of targets for Miller. Detroit is 20th in the league against tight ends so Cutler should exploit this early and often. 75 yards and two scores feels right.

Zach Ertz @NYG. $3,600

Ertz will have pretty heavy ownership this week due to his target volume, price and matchup this week. I’m not staying away as he could finish the week as top tight end this week. Ertz has looked healthy for the first time in forever and has built quite the rapport with Sam Bradford. 10 catches, 100 yards and a spike for the Zach attack!

Jacob Tamme Vs. N.O. $3,300

Every time I think Tamme is going to have a big game he fails miserably. I started him over Kelce last week in season long and that blew up in my face! Another game ripe for scores, Tamme should bust out for a nice game as the Saints couldn’t cover me at the tight end position. Fingers crossed!

Defense/Special Teams:

Rams @Niners $3,000

The Rams D was clicking last week against the Seahawks and theres no reason they shouldn’t put up a nice game against the Niners.

Redskins @Cowboys $2,800

Even if the Redskins play their backups early they should be able to hold Kellen Moore at bay. I also like the Cowboys D this week against Colt McCoy and his merry backups.

Titans @Colts $2,500

Pagano is going to get fired and the Colts are on their third or fourth string QB. Titans mat pitch a shutout and they are diry cheap this week

Other options I like this week:

Zach Mettenberger $5,100. Jeremy Langford $3,900. Brandon Boldin $3,600. Dajuan Harris $3,500. Dorial Green-Beckham $3,800. Nate Washington $3,600 and Kyle Rudolph $3,500.

Good luck this week! If you ever have DFS or any fantasy questions hit us up @TFFGurus and myself @dafantasyfather

DraftKings DFS tips for week 13

odell-beckham

By Doug Eddy

@dafantasyfather

Hello all and welcome to week 13 of the NFL! I apologize for taking week 12 off but sometimes life gets in the way. We moved into our new home in Rhode Island then a day later drove up to NH to be with family and on top of that I had to work too! Crazy week but it was all worth it. I didn’t do so hot in DFS last week and it was the first time in six weeks I didn’t make any money. Time to rebound this week!

Pick your team and keep it under $50,000 and enter it into weekly contests to earn real money! I will be writing this column weekly with my suggestions for DraftKings lineups and cash game strategies. I will cover three options at each position who I think will break out and not have a high owner percentage which means you have a better chance to win!

QB:

Matt Hasslebeck @Pitt. $5300

Not a sexy name but Hasslebeck continues to put up solid numbers. Low turnovers and plenty of playmakers versus a suspect Steelers defense that just got torched by the Seahawks. I expect low ownership for Matt this week and he should be able to return value pretty easily as this game could end up being a bit of a shootout. 250 yards and two scores are the floor this week for the oldest starting QB in the NFL. Pair with T.Y. Hilton this week for a short stack of Colts.

Ryan Fitzpatrick Vs. NYG $5200

I wish I could shave my beard and throw four touchdowns! Jets are technically the road team at Metlife but you know there will be plenty of both teams fans in the same building lol. Fitzpatrick is primed for a big day this week versus a Giants defense that has been very soft as of late. A Jets stack makes a ton of sense this week with Ivory, Marshall and Decker all priced pretty nicely.

Jay Cutler Vs. SF $5100

Smoking Jay is an absolute steal this week. Playing at home against a defense that does not play well on the road is a recipe for success. The Niners are giving up over 28 points on the road this season. Cutler will have his full compliment of weapons back for the first time in quite a while. Stack away but be careful with Forte and Langford as they will likely split the teams touches again this week.

Running Back:

Javorious Allen @Mia. $5400

Buck showed he could handle a full time role on Monday night versus the Browns and now he gets the newly ranked dead last run defense of the Dolphins to feast on. He clearly has the backfield to himself. Mix in a few catches and you should see over 100 yards from scrimmage and a score or two from the rookie from USC.

Jonathan Stewart @N.O. $5300

Stewart is an obvious play this week against the Saints. Carolina always plays well in the Dome and that trend should continue on their way to 12-0. If Carolina gets up early its going to be all Stewart all the time.  Some may fade Stewart this week because of high ownership but the matchup is that good. Don’t stray and it will pay!

C.J. Anderson @S.D. $3500

There is alot of good running back value this week but none better than C.J. Anderson. He looked like the back we all drafted back in August against the Patriots. Kubiak says Hillman will start. This means nothing to me as Anderson will still get close to twenty touches against a leaky San Diego run defense. I think Anderson can make it two years in a row of winning people championships down the stretch.

Wide Receiver:

Odell Beckham Jr. Vs. NYJ $8900

Normally I don’t chase high priced options but the stars have aligned for Beckham this week. Coming off a nice game versus Washington and as of now it looks like no Revis, Beckham is gonna eat. I would not be surprised if he led all Wr’s in points this week. The Giants need to win and they need to get the ball to their best player to do so.

Alshon Jeffrey Vs. S.F. $6900

Outside of Beckham I think Jeffrey has the highest ceiling of any wideout this week. To me is underpriced quite a bit so take full advantage! I always try to stack my lineups with target monsters and when Jeffrey is in the lineup he is getting 10-15 targets every week. 10 catches for 150 and a score seems about right this week.

Davante Parker Vs. Bal. $3300

Parker stepped in for Matthews after his injury last week and posted 80 yards a touchdown. A new offensive coordinator this week and his first NFL start make Parker a nice value play versus Baltimore. This kid is talented and I loved him coming out of Louisville. It’s his time to shine and I could see a Stefon Diggs type breakout happen.

Tight End:

Julius Thomas @Tenn. $4000

Julius Thomas looked comfortable in the offense for the first time last week and put up his best game as a Jag. Allen Hurns is unlikely to play so that means more targets and opportunities for Thomas who should turn them into 80 yards and a score.

Vance McDonald @Chi. $3000

All Blaine Gabbert does is throw TD’s to Tight Ends! McDonald is the number one guy this week and a perfect value play after Celek went down with an injurdoesronk, Graham and Eifert were all hurt last week so prepare yourself for the rise of McDonald!

Austin Sefarian-Jenkins Vs. Atl. $2500

The number one question is if ASJ will play or not this week. If he does you definitely want him on your lineup against Atlanta. A healthy Evans and Jackson are key to opening up ASJ over the middle on that fast turf in the Georgia Dome.

Defense/Special Teams:

Jacksonville @Tenn. $2700

Tenn. Actually plays worse at home then they do on the road and I have a hunch the Jags get a defensive score in this one.

Chicago Vs. San Francisco $2600

The Bears haven’t given up over 18pts in any game since week 8. Not elite by any means but an improving unit against a team that struggles on the road will return value very easily.

Redskins Vs. Cowboys $2300

A Monday night showdown of division rivals! The first place Skins will be playing fast and loose at home against Matt Cassell. I expect the Cowboys score to be low and the Skins to force a few turnovers. At $2300 what’s not to like?

Good luck this week and I will see you next Thursday! If you ever have DFS or any fantasy questions hit us up @TFFGurus and myself @dafantasyfather
